The Hinckley Dasher is a first of it's kind electric luxury yacht. Hinckley's engineering team was looking for a modern vessel control system that married the legacy of the brand with the technology of the future. Jardum's solution combined engine monitoring, navigation, stereo, and digital switching using Enovation Controls 12.3" touch screen dash display, GPS puck, power distribution module, and a prototype black box radio.
With each project, our designers study the brand, customer, and application while our engineers dive into the complex vehicle requirements. What once was a complicated and often unclear system is transformed into a straightforward user interface. No longer does the user have to dig around for manuals, use multiple gauges and display, or call for support. And as the manufacturer, your human machine interface can represent your brand and how your customer uses the product.
Hinckley wanted a unique feature that would bring high value to an electric boat. Working with the engine manufacturer, our team implemented a dynamic range ring that calculated boat travel distance based on current speed and battery state of charge. The outcome was both functional and highlighted the tight integration of the boat to the system.
